2027 IDT
The 2027 IDT Has Gone Digital
Applying for the IDT is now easier than ever. Beginning with the 2027 IDT, all tournament applications will be submitted online through tagup. Paper applications are no longer required, eliminating the need to print forms, mail applications, or wait for paperwork to be received.
The new process provides a faster, more convenient experience from application through payment while still allowing teams the option to pay by check if they prefer.
Once your application has been reviewed:
- Accepted teams will receive an email confirming their acceptance.
- The acceptance email will include a Pay Now button to securely complete payment online through Stripe.
- You may also log in to your tagup account, select Events → My Events, and open your approved application to complete payment at any time.
- Teams that prefer to pay by check may still do so after acceptance.
- Teams not immediately selected will automatically remain on the waiting list.
Important Dates
- Application Deadline: October 31, 2026
- Payment Deadline (Accepted Teams): November 13, 2026
- Tournament Dates: June 28 – July 2, 2027 (Monday–Friday)
Returning IDT Teams
If your team participated in the 2026 IDT, you already have a team account on tagup. There is no need to create another account.
Simply click the application link below and log in using your existing tagup account.
If you have not yet updated your team for the 2027 season, you’ll automatically be prompted to do so after signing in. Once your season has been updated, you can complete your tournament application online.
If your team is accepted into the tournament, simply:
- Verify that your roster is current.
- Upload your current proof of insurance.
- Complete your tournament payment using the Pay Now button in your acceptance email or by logging into tagup and selecting Events → My Events.
- If you prefer, you may still mail a check instead of paying online.

New Teams
If this is your first time applying to the IDT, you’ll create a new team account on tagup and complete your application online.
To assist the selection committee, please provide as much information as possible, including:
- Team accomplishments
- National and regional tournament results
- End-of-season championship finishes
- Participation in exposure tournaments.
- Any additional information that demonstrates your team’s competitive level.
The more information you provide, the better the selection committee can evaluate your application.

Tournament Dates: June 28 – July 2, 2027 (Monday–Friday)
Entry Fee: $2,900 per team
Event Overview
- Divisions: 14U, 16U & 18U
- Game Guarantee: 7 Games
- Pool Play: 6 Games
- Tournament Format: Single Elimination (Blind Draw)
- Registration Type: Application Only
- Sanction: IDT
- Tournament Capacity: 216 Teams
Practice Games
Practice games will be available by request on Saturday, June 26 and Sunday, June 27. Scheduling information will be released in March.
Competition
The IDT continues to feature one of the nation’s premier fields of competition, bringing together many national champions and top-ranked programs from across the country.
Priority for acceptance is based on:
- Team quality
- Past performance and participation
- Geographic representation
Applications must be submitted by October 31, 2026.
Following the review process, accepted teams will be notified by email. Teams not immediately selected will remain on the waiting list.
Payment for accepted teams is due by November 13, 2026.
Teams withdrawing more than two weeks before the start of the tournament are eligible for a full refund.
Digital Team Rosters
As in previous years, tagup will continue to serve as the official digital team roster book for the IDT. College coaches and recruiters will use team rosters and player profiles available through tagup throughout the event.
Once accepted, teams should ensure that:
- Their roster is current.
- Their current proof of insurance has been uploaded prior to the tournament.

What Happens Next?

Step 2 – The IDT Selection Committee reviews all applications.
Step 3 – If your team is accepted, you’ll receive an email confirming your acceptance with a Pay Now button.
Step 4 – You can also log in to tagup at any time, select Events → My Events, and access your approved application to complete payment.
Step 5 – Pay securely online through Stripe or, if you prefer, mail a check.
Step 6 – Payment for accepted teams is due by November 13, 2026.
Step 7 – Prior to the tournament, verify that your roster is current and upload your proof of insurance.
